On Sunday, March 25, 2007, the Mirthful Messengers, Mary Huntley and Edna Thayer, conducted traditional and contemporary worship services at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato, Minnesota.  Pastors Jim Ahlquist and Kristen Venne assisted with the planning.  The services were very well received and the Mirthful Messengers have been encouraged to provide the services for other congregations. 

The purpose of the service is to focus on the God-given gift of laughter and to let the Biblical references to laughter speak to us.  The many dimensions of laughter when used positively in our daily lives can make a difference in our health and wellness; relationships with people at home, work, and play; as well as to enrich our spiritual connections.
